Mineral-based oils have long been used in crop protection products, both as directly effective insecticidal/acaricidal agents and as auxiliary formulation components. These oils are categorized as summer and winter oils, each with specific technical functions suited to different climatic conditions.

SUMMER OILS

These are lighter, more refined oils used during the summer season.

  • Provide physical suffocation of pests (especially scale insects, red spider mites, whiteflies).

  • Create a homogeneous film on the leaf surface, enhancing the effectiveness of other insecticides.

  • Help active ingredients spread and adhere to the plant surface.

  • Formulated to be non-phytotoxic even under high temperatures, offering safe and effective protection.

WINTER OILS

These are more viscous and heavier oils suitable for cold weather conditions.

  • During plant dormancy in winter, they physically suffocate overwintering pest eggs and larvae.

  • Especially effective against red spider mites, scale insects, and their eggs — used as a physical control agent.

  • Environmentally friendly, as they leave no harmful chemical residues.
